Construction on ACEP’s new headquarters in Dallas is now completed, and staff moved into the new building on Aug. 26, 2016. The official grand opening will take place Sept. 13.
In the final stages of construction, the Board Room, [top row, left], was full of activity. All the lights were on and apparently everyone was at home. There are monitors hanging from the ceiling and great lighting. The room is also wired for great sound. Moving into the pre-function area, [top row, center], panels on the ceiling reveal a wing-type pattern. These panels really dress up what would otherwise be a plain, flat, white roof.
The view outside the second floor break room, looking west, [top row, right]. It’s a bit hard to see, but at the bottom of the frame you can see sod. The red oak trees lining the walking path will eventually lend us some shade in the afternoon sun.
Back inside, interior glass walls and sliders were installed [bottom row, left]. The glass allows for phone-call privacy while enabling the light to come through to the interior spaces. It accentuates the openness of the building and invites you to come in. The view of the EMF/Wiegenstein conference room, in the center of the third floor [bottom row, center]. The Wiegenstein Legacy Society display will cover much of the west wall that we see on the right hand of the photo. The ACEP headquarters’ exterior, [bottom row, right], looks just as inviting as its interior design.
