We encourage you to join us at ACEP15 in Boston for our annual meeting, Oct. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m., which will feature a special interactive session on graceful self-promotion, including strategies for avoiding impostor syndrome. In keeping with its mission to promote mentoring opportunities, professional advancement, and mutual support for women emergency physicians, AAWEP also will present four competitive awards at the meeting: Outstanding Mentor, ED Director of the Year, Rising Star, and Resident Rocks It. We’re thrilled to be able to honor some of emergency medicine’s finest.
There has never been a better time to be a part of the AAWEP Section. As our network expands, we find new and better ways to empower women physicians, residents, and medical students in their quest for leadership.
Dr. Beck-Esmay is a resident physician in the department of emergency medicine at Bellevue Hospital Center, NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City.
