ACEP responded to a new Harvard Pilgrim Health Care policy that will be implemented in New Hampshire on Jan. 1, 2019. It will apply a new 50 percent coinsurance for policyholders who seek care in an emergency department if their final diagnosis is determined to be “nonemergent,” based solely upon a list of diagnosis codes.
