Re:Ms. Smith’s article of her journey starting as an EM scribe. She so eloquently describes what we do on a day-to-day basis which may get over shadowed in these days of statistical graphics and electronic charting and coding. It was wonderful to read and see even though she comes from a medical family, how exposure to our world is described so well, and encouraging of the human things we do that matter so much to others.
Kudos and best of luck in your medical career, and to those who influenced your decision, dedication, drive and ability to choose this adventurous path. As Frost said …”I took the path less traveled and it has made all the difference.”
Skyler, I’m so proud of you! A medical student and a writer. You certainly painted a picture of hospital life, a life you were born to live. Someday I hope you are my doctor!
