ACEP News: Vol 31 – No 03 – March 2012The meeting features nationally recognized speakers leading interactive sessions, which this year include the emergency physicians’ role in the 2012 elections, challenges facing Medicaid, and liability reform on the state and national level.
Capping off the meeting are visits to Capitol Hill, where physician leaders will have the opportunity to meet with their Senators and Representatives or key staff leaders to promote issues concerning emergency medicine.
There are also focused activities for chapter leaders and EMRA members, networking opportunities, and a luncheon with Sen. John A. Barrasso (R-Wyo.), who will discuss the role of health care in the political landscape of the 2012 elections.
With the exception of Congressional visits, all activities will take place at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Special rates are available, but these hotel rooms historically sell out well before the conference.
A nominal registration fee of $150 is charged for ACEP members ($25 for resident members), but space is limited and registration is mandatory. The cost for nonmembers to attend is $450 per person.
You asked, we listened! Based on member feedback, ACEP now designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.
The Conference brochure and online registration are available at www.acep.org/lac or call 1-800-798-1822, ext. 6.
