This is all well within the realm and scope of Family Medicine – and core to its principlew. Its why UCSF’s Department is “Family and Community Medicine”. Its great ER docs are getting involved – and grasping how Continuity and Community are Core to Societal Health. Great to have partners – on the built environment, on traffic safety, and on supporting the social fabric of our Community. Hopefully it will be less of an Emergency – and more prevention in the future. Thanks!
