Congratulations ACEP on 50 years of improving and advancing emergency medicine. Teleflex is proud to be supporting this important segment of health care through research, medical education, and programming.
The collective strength of our industry and its common sense of purpose will continue to drive innovation while advancing the technical skills and knowledge of emergency physicians around the world.
Teleflex Incorporated (Teleflex) is a global provider of medical technologies designed to improve the health and quality of people’s lives. Teleflex applies purpose driven innovation—a relentless pursuit of identifying unmet clinical needs—to benefit patients and health care providers. This is why Teleflex has been a leading supporter of ACEP’s education and training that advances the skills and knowledge of emergency physicians and provides innovative products that enhance patient care and treatment in the emergency department.
In 2011, Teleflex and ACEP partnered to launch the first-ever procedural cadaver lab program at the ACEP annual meeting to increase physicians’ clinical education and knowledge. The overwhelming response from the ACEP members has led to the growth of the program, which has trained nearly 1,000 emergency physicians in lifesaving procedures from 2011 through 2017. ACEP and Teleflex have expanded the program internationally and have added to this offering with several international cadaver labs in Asia, Europe, and South America. Teleflex provides ongoing support of the ACEP International Ambassadors Conference. This initiative has brought international leaders together to discuss best practices and issues in emergency medicine at the ACEP annual meeting.
In 2013, Teleflex joined innovatED at the ACEP annual meeting. InnovatED was designed to showcase innovation in emergency medicine and give emergency physicians a unique hands-on opportunity to experience the latest innovation in emergency medicine by using products, such as the Arrow EZ-IO Intraosseous Vascular Access System and the MAD Nasal Intranasal Mucosal Atomization Device from Teleflex.
Teleflex continues to support the EMS community through education, procedural training, and provider recognition programs. Since 2011 Teleflex has been a major sponsor of the ACEP National EMS Week. In addition, Teleflex has supported the training and development of tomorrow’s EMS physician leaders through programs such as the ACEP Advanced EMS Practitioners Forum and Workshop, and the EMS Subspecialty Certification Review Course.
Teleflex continues to serve an active role in the support of the ACEP Leadership & Advocacy Conference. We support the leadership and advocacy training of emergency physicians, assisting ACEP in advancing its mission of promoting the highest quality of emergency care and serving as the leading advocate for emergency physicians, their patients, and the public.
Through research, education, and innovation, collectively, we are poised to achieve greater patient impact globally.
Happy Anniversary ACEP!
